37 Weeks!!!!

Hey there!  Can you believe it?  Baby Fraz is now full term!  He/she now has permission to come as soon as they would like.  I went to the doctors last week and they said that I am starting to dilate a little.  They said that it was hard to get a good picture of the baby because his/her head was so far down.  I think it is better to have the head far down in my pelvis than it is to have a good ultrasound picture at this point!  So you will all have to wait until Baby Fraz’s official arrival for a snapshot:)  They estimated his/her weight to be about 6 pounds 6 ounces which could be off by 15% or so.  Again we will find out at delivery how big this baby will be!  I feel like Baby Fraz is growing so much.  My stomach has just exploded in the past few weeks.  It is getting harder and harder to get around, I feel tired much more quickly than I was, and there is a TON of pressure on my pelvis at this point.  I told Matt and Christine that Baby Fraz was going to come sometime this week today, knowing my luck though he/she will wait it out the full 40  or more weeks!

We have been working hard at getting the house ready for Baby Fraz.  I spent most of my day today vacuuming the house and doing laundry which now leads me to having a tremendous amount of difficulty walking….not a smart move.  I had made a list of things I wanted to get done before the baby comes but it is getting harder and harder to accomplish what I wanted to on a daily basis.  Thanks to my father-in-law the list of “things to do before the baby comes” has probably been cut in half.  He has been working with Matt for the past few days get things done which has been so great.  I don’t know what we would do without him.  It has made such a difference and we appreciate his help so much!

As for Baby Fraz’s room all I can say is WOW.  Colleen and Joel dedicated one weekend day for more than a month to driving up to Bel Air to work diligently on the nursery.  They used their creativity and artistic talent to create such an incredible nursery for Baby Fraz.  They painted 3 walls in a light green color and then worked together to create a beautiful mural on the fourth wall.  The mural is inspired by a lot of the patterns and designs in the crib bedding.  Here are some of the pictures we have.  We still have to get the glider and ottoman (hopefully it will be in sometime this week).  That will be placed to the left of the crib in the open space you see in the pictures.  Also we need to decorate the other walls that don’t have the mural painted on them.  But all in all it is ready for use!  The pictures don’t do it justice though….you have to see it to see how wonderful it looks.  Thanks so much to Joel and Colleen for their hard work and love.  We are sure that Baby Fraz will love it as much as we do!

Until next time…

Erin 🙂

Very nice post, Erin. It made me more excited than I already am. It took me a while to realize Linus was in that picture looking out the window!

Thanks Colleen, Joel, and Dad for all your help!!!
